Shadow Accountant is ledger software with human review. It is not a bank, auditor, tax advisor, or provider of financial, legal, or investment advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for a qualified professional.

AI limitations and groundedness

Extraction and other model-assisted features may be incomplete or wrong. Fields that cannot be read stay empty. High-value or flagged items require human-in-the-loop review before they are treated as approved. Automatic posting under an amount threshold is a rule, not a human review.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of recorded transactions, for reviewing extracted documents, and for decisions to approve or reject items. You must not upload data you are not allowed to store.

Refund policy

Early access is currently offered without implemented billing. If paid tiers launch later, refunds for unused prepaid service will be stated on the pricing page at that time. Beta access is not a paid subscription.
