Shadow Accountant

Capabilities

Features

ShadowAccountant shows businesses what changed in their finances, why it matters, and what to do next. Each item below is implemented in the signed-in workspace, or is labeled Coming soon.

Capture

Record ledger transactions in a signed-in workspace. Authenticated users can upload invoices or receipts for review. Connected Google Sheets workbooks can receive new ledger rows. Excel Online, NetSuite, and QuickBooks are coming soon.

Review

The review queue lists items that need a human decision. Amount thresholds send high-value activity to a reviewer instead of posting immediately.

ShadowSignal

Explainable, rule-based flags mark items that need review and recommend a next action. This is not fraud detection and does not guarantee prevention of loss.

Approval control

Human-in-the-loop thresholds decide what can post and what waits. Shadow Accountant does not run fully autonomous accounting.

Cash visibility

Cash Intelligence summarizes net movement from recorded transactions in the ledger. It is not a live bank balance, real-time bank feed, or 13-week forecast. Bank synchronization is coming soon.

Audit history

The workspace records actions in an audit log so you can see what changed. This is not a certified compliance program, global tax engine, or accountant replacement.
